what kind of fuel pump can support stage 2 injectors?? (and of course good tunes) would a stock SD fuel pump work?? is it a direct hook up?? or should i be looking elsewhere.... thanks
a stock superduty pump will work. theres been a few out there still running a mechanical stock pump, but depends on whos stage 2's. i think luke cline was runnin his mechanical with the 2's direct boltup NO. you can get the setup from beans or build it your self. need pump, regulator, filter, hoses.........

alright thanks, any idea on cost and where to get one??
its about $700 to build it yourself. superduty pump, aeromotive regulator, yblock, 2 1/4" to -4an 90 for the back of the heads. (4) 10" -4 lines stainless, for supply and returns. (4) -8boss to -4an, for the regulator in and y block. (2) -4an 90's for reg. -10boss to what size you use for supply and return to pump and tank. i used -10 supply and -8 return. i think thats all for on top of the motor. need a fuel filter i used a dahl 150 for you need -10boss to -10an for the sides of it. this filter needs to be on the SUCTION side of the pump you can only have 15psi go through the filter. i built a 30gallon sumped tank i run from the tank to the filter to the pump then to the back of the heads. front of the heads to the regulator and return to the tank. i dont remember what fittings i used to get the pump in there. i have a bronco tank in the back and have a small pump setup to pump from the back tank to the front tank. no more tank selector. hmm what else am i forgetting????? oh yeah i control the pump off the 12v alternator wire. i couldnt keep a oil pressure switch to control the pump relay to last. i was able to get the fuse and relay in the existing fuse box.

so what your saying is get something like the beans kit? lol
the stock pump i had found could only get 420 out of. when i had the b codes in my truck i couldnt get more than that on a new stock pump. fuel pressure just went away pushin the truck hard.
building a fuel system is cheaper than buying a kit. it seems like alot of parts and work but its not that bad. you can still use a stock tank just make a bigger pickup for it and you can use your tank selector and run an extra line into your main tank and run the hose to the bottom and when you open the valve from the front to back it will siphon fuel from one tank to the other. thats how i had mine setup for a while. i would let it get below 1/4 tank and it would move all the fuel from one tank to the other in about an hour sitting not running and a bit less if im driving.
