Hey Guys Need Help. Guy Gave Me A 2000 Ranger Sport With A 2.5 Liter,with M5od Trans. It Was Company Truck 192000 Miles Wanted Off Lot So Went Got It Cranks Fine. It Was Park Cause They Thought It Was Clutch Was Gone. Started It Up Push Clutch In No 1 Gear No 2 Gear No 3 Or 5 No Reverse.did Not Thank About 4th. Anyway Tow Home Put In 4 Gear An Thats The Onle Gear It Has. When You Put In All Others It Is Like Putting In Neutral Position. It Looks To Have A New Jaspers Trans In It Looks To Be Not Very Old Sorry For Long Post Thanks For Any Info.

If it just got a rebuilt tranny, there is a good chance that the guy assembled the shift rails incorrectly, so only the one for 4th actually works. But, iirc, you'll have to pull the tranny out of there to get at it to correct it.
