Electric Brake Controller Plug

Hello, I have a early '99 Ford Powerstroke F250 and was wondering where the electric brake controller plug was located at in the cab. I'm sure it has one just not sure where it's at. Thanks.

Remove panel under steering column. 4 plastic "screws" hold it in. Look to the right side of the opening, by the steel support, and it should be hanging there.

That's the right location. Do you have the wiring harness from Ford to plug into the receptacle? If you're truck was never wired up with a brake box then you may also need to add the fuses/relays under the hood to get it to work. The parts are available at the Ford house for not too much money.

Also, there may just be 4 wires hanging there with no plug. That's what my 01 had on it. the prev owner cut the plug off because he was too cheap to buy the conversion plug I guess.
