I'm planning on buying a 96 F150 Eddie Bauer. It has a 5.0, 4x4 with manual transfer case and auto locking hubs, automatic tranny (E4OD), and all the bells and whistles inside the cab. It is black with the brown strip on the bottom (I guess all Eddie Bauers have this, cuz everyone I've seen has this). It has 140K miles and there's no rust. The body's pretty straight, there's one dent on the end of the bed beside the tailgate, but I think it'd be an easy fix.
I was wondering what the going price is for one of these Eddie Bauer's? The price is $5400 and I'm planning on trading my truck for it. I'm not really expecting much out of my truck, especially considering it has so many miles, but I'd like to get at least 2K for it. What do you guys think?
I can't say for your area . but if body is nice on one of the F150's you listed as owning you should get your $2000.
Around Pa mountains 2x4 are a hard sell and with those miles the $2000 would pushing it. But have fun with the with the EB. I just sold 96 4x4 sc 351 e4od I fixed was going to keep but my 94 4x4 sc lb I have now with a 302 got 5 miles more on the gallon.
Yeah i think it would be worth 5400 depending on conditon miles how it runs drives or needs anything fixed deduct that from the price i guess and its hard to say cause i dont know the market in your area
Thanks for the replies guys. I forgot to mention also that the Eddie Bauer is a SWB, and mines a long wheel base truck. I'm now debating on either getting a loan out and buying the truck, or just putting it in my 88 bronco. It has the 351 with a c6 tranny...It sucks on the mileage, but I'd still have my 95 that gets around 15-20, and I wouldn't be taking a risk of getting another truck and have two sitting in the yard, lol.
I was also wondering (might make another thread about it, though) where I'd be able to find a good mild performance 351W. I've checked out JEGS, but they've got some pretty outrageous prices on there (I don't plan on spending over 5K on just the motor....). If you guys have any good websites please let me know.
Again thanks for the replies, I'll keep you guys posted on what I end up doing
