SQUEEK noise

ok ive noticed lately that when i slamm the pedal down to get out in traffic i hear a squeeking noise from under the hood then i back off the pedal...it only happens when the motor is at high rmps's and i suddely back off the throttle...is this normal

My belt slips at WOT during shifts, and sometimes during mid throttle shifts. Watch and listen to see if it's happening when the trans shifts. If you find a cure for it let me know.

You might try a new serpentine belt. I've gotten good service from the Goodyear Gatorback belt.

its not all the time...only when im not paying attention...obviousley....but i really dont care about the noise, im just more concerned is it causing damage or is it something that is about to break

Perhaps....losing a serpentine belt is not a good way to start your day.

lol...yeah that would suck...im not going to waste my time on getting it changeed right yet, as i think i also over analyze things...i hear a slight noise and i think my whole truck is dying
