Feeding the dog the deer scraps trough the winter is one sure way to get ya outside in a blizzard with all the door and windows open. Tis better to reheat the house than be gassed to death.

hmmm...early november for rifle...not sure for bow/black powder, but its before that.

yeah, i think its late sept/early october. i'm going to try the bow someday, but won't have time this year.

I love shooting bow Ive never actually hunted game, but just squirrels and small animals, and damn was it fun!

i've never used a real one at all, but i love the idea of laying in the shadows, testing my patience. i'm pretty good at getting close to deer, but with no bow experience that wouldn't help so i'm going to get one sometime and do a whole pile of practise b4 hunting with one.
