this gizmo is garbage and can damage your pcm. i used it back when i was stupid for like a week before i returned it. it only firmed up part throttle shifts which dont matter anyway. wot shifts felt just like stock. a few guys i know have used it since and 2 have complained of pcm damage. get a shift kit from factory tech or level 10. they are easy to install and will perform real good.
Please tell me more about the other shift kits. These rquire pulling the pan and changing internals in the tranny, yes?
Do these allow you to control at what rpm the automatic shifts from 1st to 2nd, and to 3rd as well? How do you control the shift point? Is the "firmness" just one setting or can it be varied.
As maybe you can tell, I don't know jack about automatic trannies. I like the change with my Hypertech Programmer III with firmer shifts, but I suspect this is in the gizmo range of the B&M you were refering to!
I'll check my Summit catelog, where do you recommend I go and what type of level 10 or Factory Tech? I am not familiar with these - is that the company name or kit name?
Looks like you've got nice set-up. Wish I could convince the boss (wife) to part with 3 grand for a supercharger! I am just looking for better shifts, maybe a little higher RPM than stock in 1st & 2nd gear for more fun driving around town, not on the drag strip.
Any more advice is appreciated.

well if you are looking to custom tailor your shift points and firmness then get a chip. all of this can be done thru it plus you can manipulate timing etc for a little more umph.... a mechanical shift kit will just allow you to change the firmness and nothing else... sounds like you want a chip to me...
