I have a 1993 Ford F150 with a 302. The engine has headers, k&n filter, power pulleys, electric fans, and a 3in exhaust single with a glass pack. The question being does it matter if I have a catalitic conv. on or off. Like performance or sound. I have been running without a cat for about a year in a half but my Y pipe broke and I need to fix it so I have to decide. Cat or Not

well a high flow 3" cat isn't going to hurt performance much if at all. i have a 3" single with the high-flow 3" cat and muffler. it works well and sounds good. not loud. nice rumble but i have the 351.
if there isn't emmission control where you are now be sure it is coming soon! might save you hassle down the road by doing the cat now.
Rusty.

I am interested in getting exhaust from the headers out. I want to get probably edelbrock headers but then I am not sure what is the best stuff to get. I have a '94 bronco with a 302. I wanted to go 3" all the way out with one cat and proabaly a 40 series muffler but I think the headers are like 2.5". Whats the best stuff to get and be compatible and where can I get a good y-pipe because i don't think it comes with the headers.

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for the help

I have 1992 f150 with a 302 and I changed my whole exhaust. I put bassani shorty headers and an equalizer pipe that comes with one cat or you can get them with out the cats. The sound is awesome after changing the flowmaster to a ravin muffler. I purchased the headers and the equalizer pipes for $639 and well worth it from
proficientperformance.com.
