Bully dog gauges
I am thinking about getting a Bully Dog Pup and needed to know if I need to get a gauge package too.. I couldn't really tell if all that is included in the programmer or not
I'm kinda new at this stuff..I thot that I would need the gauges if I bought the chip thingy,but not the programmer...???

i have the triple pup downloader, and although i did buy the outlook monitor, i dont have it hooked up. the outlook monitor will monitor temp, boost, 0-60, etc and will control your performance settings. but like i said, i just hook up the downloader to switch between performance levels and not worry about monitoring. i dont run the truck hard...i get the occasional urge to stomp on the gas and blow by someone, but other than that, ive increased gas mileage with the downloader..along with intake and exhaust upgrades. this is on a 6.0 excursion btw. hope this helps

Thanks,I have the intake and exhaust mods and wanted the Bully Dog for the towing setup and some more mileage.. I would imagine that there would possibly be a couple of shots into the performance range once in a great while...

i just pull an 18ft ski boat...so nothing too heavy. i suppose it would be good to know if youre running hot. you can also set parameters on the outlook monitor; as far as temp, etc. ill hook up the monitor sooner or later. honestly i had initial problems with loading bullydog onto my x. so once i had it working i didnt want to mess with anything else at that moment. i had it all fixed before i made a cross country trip from AL to CA. my best mileage was 25, but i think i can do better. i had the x loaded but wasnt worried about monitoring temps and all. ill be headed back to AL in a couple of days...i'll see what it'll do then.
