I have what I think to be a small "dead spot" in the first 1/4 inch or so of accelerator pedal travel. I ordered a TPS from Rock Auto and replaced mine with no noticeable improvement. I guess my first question should be, is this normal operation for these trucks? Second, if not what else might it be? Thanks.
In stock tuning a 1/4" of dead travel is not that abnormal
Need to look at the pedal PID on a scanner, it should be 10 - 15% at idle and 70 - 80% at WOT. as long as it is within this spec and does not have any dead spots in the middle of the range or jump from its idle reading to 25 - 30 % it is acting normal.
