Hmmm,is this normal?
Ok, I just noticed this, but who knows how long it's been this way. I noticed when I had the radio off and it was quiet that when I let off the gas from highway speeds or a little less, the engine is silent for a few seconds, then I hear it start to idle again...it just struck me as odd, but it seems to be running fine and the RPM's on the tack sit there at about 1k, just no diesel engine noise. anyone notice the same?

I notice this too. I thought it was just my ears playing tricks with me. I think the 6.0 is actually quieter above 1000 RPM than it is at idle???
Any techie's got an answer for this one???

Hey.... my radio is so loud I can't hear anything... heck... is it a diesel or a gasser I am driving?????
By turning the radio up...
1) I hear no turbo farts.
2) I hear no injectors
3) I donot hear turbo wine when accelerating
4) I do not hear my kids in the back seat
5) I do not hear my wife yelling at me
6) ...and I do nothear the police siren due to speeding (oops)!!!
