overdrive switch sorry for the dumb question

What is it doing or not doing? Kinda important. I would assume it will not activate when pressed disabling the OD function. This could be as simple as a steering column wiring short to a bad switch. Most folks pull the column cover and make sure there isn't a wiring short, them replace the stalk. Among the cheapest is one of our sponsors. I can provide the link if needed.

i'm with tenn..99% of the time it is a broken wire under the the steering column cover. i had to replace mine last fall...50 bucks at a dealer for the hole shifting lever or you may be able to repair the broken wire..

I can't remember, but you might be able to just replace the button on the end. It just pops off. The button is cheaper, but like the guys said, most likely it's the wires under the cover. I just did one on my brother in laws truck. I guess it's fairly common.
