Leaky Injector!
Been a looooong time since I've been back. I have a small problem with my 4.6L-W, '97 F-150, 4X4. I think i have a leaky injector. When I first crank up my truck it idles really bad like a cylinder went down. After about 10-20 seconds it finally decides to come to an equilibrium and runs fine. I can turn my truck off and fire it right back up and no problems. At first I thought the worst and figured a head gasket was blown and antifreeze was comprimising the ignition. I checked the oil the other day and caught a quick sniff of gas. Sure enough I had gas in my oil! Granted gas is an excellent cleaner, but under the circumstances I really don't want gas there because of its lack of lubricity. I have tried Seafoam in the fuel tank to see if maybe the injector had trash in it causing it to hang open but it failed. Any insight would be very helpful! Thanks guys!
