I'm with everyone else... What are you trying to say?

And it would be funny if rakes had lights.

My Edit for him:
My tailights will not light up when I pull the headlight switch on.
They will turn on using the brake pedal bit not with the headlight switch
etc
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The problem is you didn;t differentiate between Tailights and Brake lights
Tailights/running lights illuminate with the HL switch in Park Light and ON position
The Brake lights which share the same bulb but a different filament should illuminate when the brake pedal is applied.
The brake lights and the Taillights should illuminate at the same time of the pedal is applied and the HL switch is on
ok so that was kinda cool trying to read that huh? ok my tail lights do not work. the brake lights, hazards, and turn signals work. do you know any reason just those lights dont work? what could be the problem? what is each wire for in the back of the tail light socket. there is a yellow with a black stripe wire, a brown wire, and a black wire. sorry guys but thanks
It could be a couple things, it could be the bulb its self, but if not check to see if any wires are corroided or if some are grounding out.
Take your time typeing. I always have trouble understanding what your trying to say, and it doesn't look like I'm the only one.
The brake and tail lights have one two filament lamp in each of them. Both ground to the bed in the light housing recess. I believe there are separate wires running to the left and right brake lights and one wire that runs to both the left and right running lights. I need to look at the the wiring manual to double check this (I'm at work). I would check the ground wires first. Measure them on each socket (only one ground per socket for brake, tail and turn lights) from the socket to ground with an ohm meter. If the grounds are good then use the volt meter to check for power at each socket with the running lights on. If you do not have 12v to each socket then start moving forward looking for a break in the wire between the lights and the front of the truck.
P.S. Don't run with rakes or scissors...
Edited for clarity and spelling.
If you have turns, hazards and running all operable, then it sounds like all of the filaments and circuitry/ground is good. You might check the brake light switch at the pedal.
Oops, sorry - need to learn to read again, I guess!
The brown wire is for the running lights.
Check for a break in the brown wire in the harness along the frame
This happens all the time on these old trucks.
