Aluminum wheels

Well, I took the advice from this site and used sand paper to restore my polished aluminum wheels. Thanks....

Now the problem I have is restoring the holes, they seem to have been painted and the paint has worn off in some spots but the grime in there does not seem to come off with the sand paper. Any suggestions?

You can get a dremel tool into the holes- I used an attachment in the past, I can't remember what it's called, but it's kinda like a wire wheel, but made out of some kinda synthetic (plastic?) with a mild abrasive glued to it. It is tan or gold in color. It works wonders w/o taking off a lot of material.

Did u wet sand them or straight up sand them down? Polished mine and i want better results. My spare looks like chrome(sits in the garage until trip time), and would like those results on all 4 of my rims.

I wet sanded them with 2000 grit paper. I wish I would have taken before and after pics.
