Nitto Terra Grappler

Anyone running these? look pretty good and I have the chance to get some in 285-75-16. Not looking for a huge tire thread just wondering if they are any good. Thanks

I'm very pleased with mine. It would be difficult for me to justify spending more on a different tire, if I had to replace them today.

I don't have any experience with this brand, but I was just at a local shopping mall and in the middle of the concourse a local dealer was showing an F-150 FTX that had them installed. They looked really sharp (as did the rest of the truck!).

This package is offered by a company called Tuscany Trucks and they have also have F-250/350 versions of this package. You can view them here:

I have a set of 305/70r16, soon to be replaced by different wheels and tires. They would have lasted good, but the recent infliction of burnouts (damn BTS transmission) has worn them down where they are almost bald. I have about 15k miles on them, and i bet over 40K within a few hundred feet. Good for some pictures though. They are cheap.

What brand did you get, and from where? I've got 285/75R16's right now but if I go any taller I won't fit through the automated car wash, and I don't want to hand wash & dry a CrewCab SuperDuty!

The first set of replacement tires I put on my 2002 F-350 4x4 lariat were Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 305/60/R16. I have since sold them to a buddy with a 2wd F-250 and he loves them! I put 20K on them and he still is driving them with at least 40K miles.
I now have BFG AT KO's and they are more aggressive an louder.

I like 'em!!

I put a set of 315/75r/16s on my F250 4X4 Supercrew w/long bed & 4" lift. These ride nice! Hope they last longer than my last Pro Comps.
As for washing the truck, my wife just finished! Life is good!!!!

You must tell me the secret to that one! I've been trying to get her to wash the truck (as well as mow the lawn) since forever. I must not be asking correctly.

I have the terra grappler 295-75-16's on 16x8 Eagle Alloys and could not be happier with them. Got about 2k on them and not a single complaint.

I've had 5 set's. I started with 33's on 18's in 03 and now run 35 x 18's with a 6" lift as of Sep-06. I really like the tires because they offer a great ride even when the tread is low they don't seem to slap the road as much as other tires I've owned. It's probably due to the fact that they are of a softer compound than alot of tires. They flex to much for to be used for alot of towing. This tire is hard to find in a load range E which would help alot when towing. Most of them are Load Range D which is fine, its just not preferable if yah tow alot. Kris and I suffer form the same affliction. Gets expensive after awhile too. I've thought about swicthing to Dick Cepecs only because they offer a AT style tire in a Load Range E. Take Care..
