i have a 1980 f-150 with the inline 6 and i was wandering what the large vacuum port on the egr plate is supposed to be atached there i have nothing and no loose hose floating around very confused

Either smog pump that is/was on front passenger side belt driven or valve cover. Get you a book would be your best bet. Open it right there in the store and see if it shows pics with details or you could check Autozone.com.
