lift question
You are not considering just adding a longer shackle are you? Not a very good idea. This will only lift one end of the spring away from the frame, so it would require a very long shackle to obtain the desired lift.
Plus, you are going to change the steering geometry. The caster will be way off, and will be pretty slow to steer. Not to mention, the front driveline angle will be increased, and cause binding.
If you decide to add the hanger kit, you will also need another trac bar relocation bracket to lower the trac bar. It will be shorter, and require modification (unless you have a bracket with two holes, and you are using the upper one now.
Depending on whether or not you are using a sway bar, the links are going to be very short after the lift, and may not even reach.
The drive shaft is going to be fairly short after additional lift. Getting close to the end of the splines during suspension cycles.
Shocks might fall a bit short too.
i have had no problems whatsoever. steering is fine, caster is in spec, nothing is bound.
