help with block numbers
Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm looking for help in finding an engine block number. I recently purchased a 53 panel delivery, with a 90s motor. I was told it's a 390 big block. I need to find the numbers so I can start getting some new parts. Any info would help. Thanks in advance

The block casting number is normally right above where the starter is. The last 390 made was in 1976.
If it's a Ford engine here is a simple way to identify it.
5 valve cover bolts - FE engine 352,360,390
6 valve cover bolts - SBF 289,302,351W
7 valve cover bolts - BBF 429,460
8 valve cover bolts - 351C,351M,400
