Finally Started Changing Injectors!
Well, it may have taken aprox. 2 months, but today I started changing injectors on my 1987 7.3 turbo diesel. The injector closest to the firewall on passenger side was a mess. It had carbon and looked like rust on it? It is the injector that when I craked it, it didn't make a difference in the engine. I got all the passenger side injectors done and three of the four injectors I coudn't get to before, and it only took four hours? I know it was only supposed to take 3 hours, but I'm slow and cautious. I torqued the injector to 25LBS as was told. I hope to get the drivers' side injectors done tomorrow. What do you'll make of the one injector? The grease idea to hold the washer on worked great. Thanks and God bless, John
