Brake lights wont work!!

What year is your truck? I had an '89 F350 7.3L diesel and an '86 with the 460 in her that had that problem... but it was a choice between headights, running lamps and and tail lights or brake lights... that was a bitch to deal with... first thigs first, check the brake light switch under the dash and the wire harness back under the bed

Well in my '04 its located on the brake petal lever right after the black paint ends. One way to test that it is functioning is if you push the brake petal in you should hear it making a "click" noise. Or if you are skeptical, move it just a tidbit, it should make the same noise.
Before I did anyhting I'd check the bulbs. If that didn;t do anyhting, check the switch, and if it makes noise trace the wiring for obvious shorts.
