Getting ready to install TransGo VB reprogramming kit
In my '04 E350 4R100,
Problem is, it didn't come with step-by-step instructions, just a blow-up of the disassembled VB, springs, etc with notes on what goes where. Anyone else done this? I am pretty sure I can get this done with no problems, I'm just curious if anyone's got shortcuts/tips/tricks, etc...
One question, when I drop the main valve body, are the checkballs dropped in from the top? I'm just worried about parts dropping out of the VB before I have a chance to see where they go/how they're oriented...you know, it's the old "I've never done this before, and if I screw it up I'll be up a creek" jitters. All the other work I've ever done on my vehicles has been out of necessity(no money), and this is no exception-I refuse to pay a trans shop hundreds of dollars for something I can (quite possibly) do myself.... the valve body for my c6 would come out as a whole and then when you tear into the valve body is where the check ***** and stuff come apart...so i would try to remove the bolts holding in the vb and work on the vb on a bench
