Man there seems to be a lot of people questioning this regeneration mode. You would think that either the dealer would explain this or people would read the manuals and literature and know what's going on!
Hahaha, thats a bold statement friend. I know what a regen mode is and I know what it accomplishes. I havent had one on my truck yet so I didnt know if its possible to drive on or not while regenerating. This site is here to help people with questions, and if they have questions about the regen cycle then answer them, dont dawg 'em. It'll get ya booted.
No don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to scold anybody here. The main point is that with the new technology and all, you would think that the dealer would explain everything. But if not, the book is always there. I know what the site's for, I've been here a while too.
I can understand the questions asking if it's safe to drive during this regeneration mode and questions relating to such, but to ask why your idle speed raises...? Thats where the dealer or books should have come to play for an explination from the get-go.
Haha sorry if I came off as a know-it-all bad@$$ there. I'm one of those people who will read a manual front to back if I get a "new" vehicle. I wish more people would, that way they could save themselves some trouble!

I read the manual, watched the dvd, studied fords for years, and only owned ford trucks. But still when something makes a new noise, you want to be sure what the noise is your hearing. I knew what the regen cycle is too, but that doesn't mean I know what its going to sound like when it happens. Do all washing machines sound the same? No!!!
How'd I know someone was going to take offense...? Again, I will say this one last time. The questions PERTAINING TO THE REGENERATION MODE, I can understand their purpose. But to not know why your idle goes up, I mean come on. That's all I have to say.

Also I only picked up the truck on friday! I knew the idle would go up and the ehaust would get hot. But my exhaust did not get hot, and as I stated my truck was parked and running. I thought the regen was not suppose to happen if not in motion.
