Just wondering if anyone can help me with some tech. knowledge. The statement cold air induction has me wondering. How cold is good? What temp. would be bad on the turbo?
you're not going to get the air to be to cold with just a CAI on the truck, these trucks run in -40 and below, its best to have a winter front on then though but where you are you will never find it to be to cold for your turbo
Rollerstud, Hey thanks for the reply. The reason I am asking the question is simple. I have come up with a way to condition the air going into the intake. Regaurdless of the outside temp. It is my opinion that this would improve the proformance. For example if I can condition the air to be a constant say, 65 degrees wouldn't this improve it. It seems to me that heat is a turbo's enemy.

If you could do that you would see a huge improvement in performance. Colder air = denser air charge = more complete combustion--a definite benefit. That's what aftermarket intercooler's are designed to do--lower the charge air temp. I know LOTS of folks who would be interested in that if you can pull it off.
Yessir, I got the plan I just got to find the right folks to build it in such a way it can be produced in a costly fashion. A buddy of mine and myself have been working on this.
