OBD connector dead
Trying to help a friend diagnose the lit 'check engine' light with my Autoenginuity diagnostics. When I connect the laptop to the 2002 Sport Trac, the laptop does not see the connection. When I connect laptop to my truck, I get the ding on the laptop when I plug it to the OBD connector and it dings when I unplug it, it connects and works well. With the Sport Trac there are no dings when I plug into and out of the OBD connector. He has no owners manual so I don't know what fuse does what. Is there a fuse that might be blown that supplies power to the OBD connector? BTW, the Sport Trac runs fine, he just wanted to know why the light was lit.
