Driver Door Panel Removal

I have a 2004 FX4 and just this morning started to hear a noise when putting down the drivers side window. it almost sounds like there is debris in there, but i do not see anything on the window. anyways, i need to take the door panel off to investigate. is there a step by step direction on how to remove the door panel?

Thanks in advance.

jeff

i apologize for not seeing that. thank you.

i did perform a search on the issue i am having and did not find anything. has anyone here had any issues with the window motor going bad or is there another issue that i am having with the grinding noise that i experience while lowering the window.

thanks!

you may want to take the panel off and make sure eveything is clean and lubed well. is the noise only apparent when the window is going down? possible window regulator is going out. if you do need to replace it. An idea of cost for a new one.

it makes the noise when it goes up and down. however when going down and it is put all the way down, there is a loud clunk. sounds like there are rocks or something scratching against the glass. im sure it is the regulator or something like that.

interesting. i just got rid of my jeep to get this truck. i love it.

thanks a lot.!

no problem. welcome to the boards. most likely the beginning of your regulator going bad. just be prepared when it pops and wont go back up.
