someone last night / this morning broke into my truck and stole all my sound equipment...both amps, 4 subs and the capacitor...they used a crow / pry bar on the billet grill trying to get under the hood and messed the grill up as well...
made the obligatory calls to the po po and the insurance company now we just need to see what happens i guess...
screw that!! maybe you should hook a 75,000 volt coil to the truck and fry the pos scum's azz the next time he touches your truck Lew
No.
Install under one of the seats a military air raid siren and several batteries under the hood. When the alarm trips, instead of firing off a cheap siren, it closes a relay which in turn powers the air raid siren.
Thieves WILL run.
Just make sure you have 0 deductable glass coverage because an air raid siren in your truck will break most of the glass.

Personally I'd rather use the coil so they get a good jult the little B$%#&*%ds
I keep my truck garaged, when not on the road, or at a show. I don't have expensive sound equipment. Thieves would probably take my whole truck and part it out.
