About a year ago (while under warranty), I had an issue with my HVAC only blowing hot air while the AC was on. This occured after jump starting the expedition (2005 EB), I expected a short and a replaced sensor somewhere. A trip to Ford Service and an evaporator and a discharge air sensor later, it worked.
Fast forward to this weekend...after jump starting the expedition, the HVAC was acting all silly again. I called Ford service and had them explain to me what was done last May, they indicated an evaporator and a new discharge air sensor fixed it. I explained this happened after a jump and the guy (very helpfully, I might add) agreed with me that it should have just been the sensor and probably not the evaporator.
So, in my quest to fix this myself, I couldn't find *any* documentation on a discharge air sensor. Does anyone have any info on this? What it is, where it is, what it does, etc? Is it also called something else?
