Ok I purchased an outlaw power intake for my new expedition. Just spent about an hour trying to install it. NOT POSSIBLE!!!
FORD has attached the radiator fluid overflow to the intake. It is one molded piece. Can anyone explain why in the hell ford would do this? This makes about as much sense as getting rid of the dipstick to check the transmission fluid lever. Basically it seems we are all screwed if we want to add any aftermarket parts to our trucks. Even if I could cut the stock intake out, the new outlaw intake still will not work. Then new tube doesnt have the right angle.
If you take your triton cover off of your engine, look at the intake, and see how many damn silencers ford has put on it, it is ridiculous.
its just a pain for the 07 expedition, since ford in all there wisdom, made the stock intake one piece with the radiator overflow reservoir. Ford doesnt want people to change to aftermarket parts for some reason. I am sure the F150 would be easy to change, considering it hasnt been restyled for a few years.
