jeep to a ford

hello,
has anybody heard of a 289 or a 302 being able to bolt right up to a 1991 jeep
with a 2.0 , a friend of mine says a 289 will bolt right to bell housing and motor mounts ??????

Never heard that, I'd check some Jeep forums. My dad has a 2.3L ford in his CJ-3b with a toploader 4 speed, but it required some adapters.

i think the input shafts are the same and alot of the transmission stuff is interchangable but not motor mounts.

Try AdvanceAdapters, they make tons of stuff for 4x4 engine and trans swaps. I have used some of their stuff. Top notch.

I never heard of 2.0 in a Jeep, are you sure it's not a 2.5? I would look at Transdapt or whatever it is, and Novak they do all Jeep stuff but they are Chevy biased.

Try www.heckermachine.com He has an excellent reputation on the dune buggy boards I visit. If he can't help, try esslinger or kennedy engineering, they might be able to.
