Just finished installing a brake controller in my 1989 F-150. Every thing electrical works except the running lights, headlights work, brake light works, turn signals work. I have taken all the fuses out and all check good with an ohm meter. But, I still don't have running lights.
Is there another fuse or circuit breaker somwhere other than the under dash fuse panel?
Re the previous post, does anyone have an electrical wiring diagram showing the lights for this vehicle? If so, would you be willing to forward it to me via private email?

Trouble shooting to this point has revealed nothing. I thought I had it nailed down to a defective switch. Put in a new one and still no exetrior lights.
I jumpered from the main hot lead (+12V) in the switch plug to the exterior wire socket and I have lights. Could the new switch be defective also? Is there an over amperage breaker in the switch itself? There used to be in the headlight circuit, but this was elimanated a good while back.
A follow up to my orginal problem. Traced problem down to faulty plug, helped by subford. (thanks)
Solution was to add another switch. Picked up hot +12V at plug and plumbed in a switch between the hot and the running light wire. Works great.
