Electrical Issue - relay hookup

I have been posting a bit lately as I am trying to put my truck back together. I have it all set where I can start it. Put the ignition key on and nothing happens ! ZIP ! NADA !!
I labeled all the harnesses and wires before I took them off and I can't seem to think of anything that I messed up - except maybe the relay hookup. I have a feeling I have hooked that one incorrect. Can someone tell me what wires should go to each wire of the relay? Here is how it hooked up in mine:

Battery side terminal: I have the positive battery cable hooked up and a wire that seems to go to the alternator.
Starter side terminal: Starter cable and another wire that seems to supply juice to entire truck circuitry (this wire I am not sure if hooked up right). The reason I know it does so is because when I connect that directly to the positive battery terminal, I get my gauge lights and tail lights to come on. The wire is black or maybe dark brown - a bit dirty to tell. My headlights are still not coming on, which maybe another issue.
'I' terminal: There is a small wire coming to it, I presume from the ignition switch (red/blue in color).
'S' terminal: Another small wire, presumably from the ignition switch again (brown in color - need to check this).

Any help will be really really appreciated.

The only thing that should be on the starter side of the solenoid is the cable to the starter. The only time it's hot is when you turn the key to crank the truck. I'd imagine you want to find some other key-on source for the other wire on there.

Does it turn over, or nothin at all? If not, you can check to make sure the starter and solenoid are good by jumping the battery terminal to the S terminal. If that turns it over, the problem has to be somewhere between the ignition switch and the solenoid.

With the help of the figure above, and from some old posts, I was able to figure out where the connection should go.
Battery side post: Batter +, alternator wire, the main wire that supplies juice.
Starter side post: only starter cable.
S: the blue and red wire.
I: the brown wire.

But I still got an issue with my headlights not working right. I will check some more and get back.

Check your dimmer switch..clean it up and apply some Di-electric grease to protect it from further corrosion.
