RE> seat question

I have a 1996 f150 regular cab that requires a new seat. I have an opportunity to get a 40/20/40 seat out of a 1996 f 150 extended cab. I am not sure if the 40/20/40 will bolt into my truck as my original seat is a bench type. I am hoping that someone may have tryed the same swap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ive seen it done, going from bench to bucket seats right? if so lemme know, i can get pictire of some one who did it

yes do it my friend had that set up in his reg cab .

That set up is most sought after. You will have to drill extra holes and reinforce them (large fender washer). Also get the inner seat belts I don't know if are different or not.

I took a bench seat out of my 91 reg cab and put a cushy bench like with fold-down console in mine. The new seat was from a 95 I believe. It had lumbar support and I used the seatbelt buzzer wires to power the lumbar. Works great and it bolted right in.
