The only reason I would ever put one is is if the gov't made me. My truck didn't come with one from the factory, and I'm not volunteering to increase pressure drop in my exhaust system.
I haven't heard of anyone choosing to add a cat to thei system unless they were having to return it to factory conditions as a means of obtaining state inpsection compliance.
