Quick timing question- 86 EB 351w 4v
On the pointer for the timing that is bolted to the timing chain cover, there is a circle and a pointer. It does not say in any of my books, and I was wondering which one I need to use to achieve TDC. I need to manually turn the motor over to TDC to install this cam. I am in the middle of this right now, so if anyone reads this, I need a fast response please. Thanks a lot everyone!
P.S. Why are all of these chevy ads here on a Ford site? If they were of any use to us, we'd be driving one of those junkers!

The pointer should look kinda like a triangle and that is to advance your timing...the circle is to set the stock time and if it has a square....which I doubt, that's to retard your timing...hope this helps....
