Very soon my 2001 F350 Powerstroke Diesel will be coming and I am looking into getting a racing chip. I had a Jet Chip in my 99 F250 with the 5.4, but I've heard the superchips are awesome, I also am impressed with the posted numbers on the diablo, I was just wondering if they are made by the same people and which one would be better. I also plan on upgrading the exhaust, air intake and adding a boost and exhaust temp gauge, and 33" or 35" BFG all-terrains. Would you have any suggestions on any of these items? Thanks for your help.
First, no the chips are not made by the same people. DiabloSport is a subsidiary of ProGrama Tools. As to your mods on your Powerstroke. The stock exhaust is quite sufficient on the newer Powerstrokes. Anytime that we can easily and safely add 80hp to your truck, it is not exhaust nor intake limited. I would suggest adding a K&N or an AFE brand filter. Both flow much better than stock. Leave the exhaust alone unless you just want a louder truck, it will not add any power to a newer powerstroke. The late 99's and newer do not have a catalytic converter on them. We distribute both Superchips and Diablo, both carry the same warranty and are a bit different in programming. I don't feel that you could say that either is BETTER than the other. Both work from idle to full throttle. Call for further details on the differences in programming.

Thanks very much for the info, I am new to the diesel scene and know very little about them. Are there any other helpful hints on performance and basic maintenance(i.e. oil changes, which diesel fuel is best, water in the fuel, etc.) that you could shed some light on, thanks again for all your help and I will definitly be getting in touch with you about the chip.
Tom: As to water in the fuel, you need to read your owners manual and locate your water drain. You will get a light when the water level gets high in your separator. Oil for the Powerstroke?????Ask some of the guys on this site. In my very limited experience with oils and the Powerstroke, all users that I know use Shell Rotella oil. All of the farmers here use this oil in everthing that uses diesel.
Thanks
Danny
