Slowly making progress and finally got to the point of laying out all my repaired body panels and such to see what else needed to be done. After 30 minutes of trying, I realized I was trying to fit a rear fender on the front. AAAAAAGHHHHH!!!
So just incase someone is thinking of trying such a swap, don’t bother they don’t fit.
After that, I spent 15 minutes trying to fit the left front fender onto the right front. And THEN I noticed my problem: I have two left front fenders and no right ones. So if there is symmetry in the universe then I am looking for my soul mate who has two right front fenders.
I really like this “hobby” but man it can get aggravating.
Thanks for listening to me complain. It feels a little better.

I have actually shot at the bush knowing fully well that it was indeed a bush (I figured I needed to teach it a lesson about acting like a deer) I was half tempted to take it home and mount it on the wall......
MAYBE an FTE member this weekend will discover they have two right fenders and you can work out a swap!
Actually, assembling the sheetmetal was one of the toughest things I did. It had been years since I had disassembled and I couldn't remember how it all went back together.

They will, but only on 1941/47 Studebaker pickups..the right side fenders are the same front and rear, as are the left.
