Shifting problems

I was hoping to get some advice from someone who has expierianced the same problem. My buddy has a 2001 SD f350 automatic trans. He was complaining about the high revs before it would shift from one gear to the next. It had started the other day after a long road trip. I first took a look at the trans fluid level, and it check OK. I took it out and noticed 1st to 2nd - 1800 rpms, 2nd to 3rd -2100 rpms, 3rd to 4th - 2300 rpms. Is there a way to reset the learning process? Now one thing that he has added about 3 - 4 years ago was a Diablo chip, if this should make any differance. Could it be that the chip has some how gone ******* up!

Thanks for any help.

There is no learning process on shifting speeds. It shifts like that because that is the way it was designed. To change the shift speeds either don't press the skinny pedal on the right as far, or have a chip custom made to lower the shift speeds.

The shift points sound about right, assuming it's a diesel. Gas should be much higher at mid throttle.
