Hey Guys! I'm new here. Looks like some great info. I am starting to look for a new truck, and the 450 superduty looks good! I have the other guys diesel. (Cummins) I would never go back to a gasser. All the things that have been talked about are really not that big of a deal! In the Gasser you change oil every 5 grand, the oil burner is every 15k, so once you add up three oil changes and the time, you really have a wash! As for the cold weather, it's never been a problem. You may take a little longer starting, cause ya gotta warm it first. In the winter they change the blend of fuel,so as to not wax up, but I still run some conditioner. It warms slower but no big deal. You do forget all about the small things when you hit the mountains! My truck camper is 5k loaded and the boat is another 5k. Start a hill at 70 miles per hour, and go on over the top at 70 miles per hour! or more if ya please. It just growlls a little louder! You'll never go back! Thanks for the info! Honk

Suggest you recheck oil changes on PSD either 6.0 oor 6.4. 15,000 miles is way above recommendations. If you change at 5K miles, remember you are at almost 4 gallons each change, plus an overpriced filter. Check with diesel forum here. Good luck.
