I have had my gauges for 6 months but just now hooked up boost gauge. When the truck shifts (the boost its highest) you here a stuttering air sound and the boost jumps around a little bit and then settles bacj about 5 psi lower and starts to buid again. Before the gauge was installed I thought it was the 6637 filter making the noise but now that I see the boost jumping around I wonder. Could this be a boost leak?

 

Nope. Its just the sound the intake make whens it shifts. If im not mistaken it is letting off pressure. My 01' does it.

 

Could be surge... but your probably just fine
