Proper diameter for mufflers....
I'm having a new set of headers put on my 390 in my 1967 F-250 "High Boy." The Muffler shop told me to go ahead and order the parts I liked and bring them in....so, I am unsure of the correct muffler/Cross-pipe diameter. The Dynomax Headers have a 3 Inch exit (model 85066).....do I want to keep the full 3 inches all the way out, or do I need to use a smaller diameter for the piping and mufflers? The mufflers are going to be the Flowmaster 50's, if that makes any difference.
