I have a question about the wastegate solenoid sensor. Mine read 99.11 at idle, during acceleration and WOT. I know that is not the way it is suppose to work but my question is How do I fix it? By the way my MAP sensor is bad as well.(2.3psi below BARO). Thanks Tom
Look at it in stock before you call it bad I have seen that in DP's tunes
But with the MAP reading 2.3psi low the PCM will be seeing boost lower than expected and will keep the waistgate closed longer trying to raise boost.
The 7.3L DIT Diesel Engine uses an electronically controlled wastegated GTP38 turbocharger to control the intake manifold pressure. An intake manifold pressure sensor provides readings to the PCM, the PCM compares this reading with the vehicle speed and engine load then sends a signal to the solenoid control valve. The solenoid control valve alters the pressure applied to the wastegate actuator to provide the proper position for the wastegate valve providing the proper boost pressure.
Alan,
You were right it went up to 14.2 in stock which is .5 low compared to Baro. Should I be taking all readings in stock or is only some of them affected. Thanks for all the help. Tom
