06 7.3?

06 7.3?
My wife's co-worker says he has an 06 with a 7.3, I said no way but she said the previous owner worked for Ford. Does anyone know if it was possible to special order and have the 7.3 installed?

I think they still put the 7.3 in new trucks in Austrailia, but it would have steering on the the right side. If it was brought in from overseas its a possibility, other than that, maybe you could make some money on a bet.

It might also be possible that the truck is a 7.3 with the newer front end on it, and he's completely retarded and thinks it's a 2006 truck.

In August of 2002 I went to order my 2003 7.3L Lariat SC LB 4X4 and at that time Ford told me the 2003's were only coming with the 7.3L for 4 months this model year then the switch over to the 6.0L would take place. Wonder why Ford didn't call this 6.0L a 2003&1/2 like they did on everything else since the 60's.

I found out where the mistake was, wifeypoo. While she's great at just about everything, she's not a motorhead and misunderstood what her friend was saying. He has an 06 w/6.0.
