temperature problem with Superchip

It's over 110 degrees here in Phoenix and I've been having really bad performance with my F150 since I've installed the Superchips performance chip.

First I thought the transmission was going out. It has 85000 miles on it and I pull a horse trailer. The transmission was slipping only when hot. I took it to a good transmission shop and the transmission checked out fine. Ok course it was in the morning when it's cooler and it did slip at all when I drove it down there or when the owner took it for a test drive.

I don't drive my this truck much so I have not noticed this problem until now. Every once in a while when I did drive it to work (30 miles one way), on the way home it would start back firing and had no power. I drove it yesterday and it was running great on the way to work. On the way home after I got off the freeway (15 miles of 80mph driving, speed limit 75). It just would'nt go. We had one of the hottest days yet, 115 degrees. I had it floored and it would only go 25 mph and was backfiring repeatedly.

I didn't have time to remove the chip last night but will tonight. I have a feeling the truck will run great without it. Anyone else have this problem?
