carb trouble ?
I got a 73 F100 with a 302 2 barrell. this truck sat along time,and the gas went bad. After replacing the tank,filters,and fuel pump the carb was rebuilt. After the rebuild the engine will run if feathering the petal, but it wont stay running at idle speed. IS there any thing that I could of missed or done wrong on the rebuild? Any advice out there ? Thanks for responding.

Did you adjust the idle air mixture according to the manual? If not it could be running too lean...not getting enough gas then cutting out unless you use the pedal. Also what kind of choke is it running an automatic or manual? Also during the rebuils of the carb did you replace the accelerator pump?
