Alarm keeps going off

I have a 95 F150 with an alarm that is deactivated using the key in the driver door. The passenger door never worked, and had to be replaced with an older one without a switch when I was hit last year. Most of the time it deactivates without a problem, but more frequently I find myself having to jiggle the key back and forth to get it to stop going off (usually at 3AM when I go out to get a pack of smokes or right after my daughter finally gets to sleep). Is there any way I can fix this without removing the door panel?

Sounds like the switch in the driver's door. More than likely the door panel will have to come off.

Is this a dealer-only part?

The regular places don't seem to have them, but this place does. Plug in your model, and in the search box below put in "lock"
