2.3 interchangability
I'm looking at picking up a 1985 2.3 FI engine out of a Ranger and then sooner or later installing it into a Ranger,probably 86-88.My question is will this 85 block and head work in the later models,and is there any difference in the head of a carbed engine just in case I find a nice earlier model body to drop it in.Thanks guys!

I have an 87 2.3 I am swapping into my 84. The only thing I can see different is the 87 has no hole for the manual fuel pump. so I will have to feed the carb with an after market electrical one.
