So I was looking at my engines, both are 223 i6's, coded ebp 6015's but one is a 6015G. The 6015G has a ebp code on the block, but the timming cover has the code ebr. Why does the one have the mounts on the timming cover and none on the block, and the other has only side mounts? Did Ford produce two different blocks?
I'm sorry to ask again but nobody has given me a strait answer...
Thanks again
Never worry about asking questions here, remember we`re all in this together.
From what little I can remember the Ford truck applications had the front engine mounts on the timing cover and Ford cars had the side mounts.
The 223 did have changes throughout it`s run but I`m not too familar with this engine.
I`m sure someone with a lot more knowledge will jump in, these are still fairly popular engines.
