I've searched a lot of threads but can't find any info about how hard it is or what is involved to install new injectors. Worked on plenty of gassers this is a whole new beast for me. Any help would be appreciated. Looking at some stage I or II's from LIPD. Just gotta find a shop in the Jersey area to do head studs.
I see you already deal w/ Matt at LIPD. Give him a shout as he can fill you in w/ the details. As I recall he and Jeremy talked about 4-6 hours for replacement as 2 or 3 of them are really hard to get access too. This is actually one factor that lead me to go ahead w/ the Stage 1's while they already had my motor pulled. I was going to do them in the future and the labor was free since the 6.0 was laying in the floor of their shop.
Got an idea for you, take a break from Jersey and drive down to see some rednecks in good ol' NC and let Matt and Jeremy work their magic! Their shop is about 15 minutes from "Race City USA" (Mooresville, home to 20-30 some odd Nextel Cup shops as well as close to 100 Grand National, ARCA, Hooters Cup, etc teams) and Charlotte as well. Lots to do while your 6.0 is in rehab.

That's the same thing Jeremy told me. I just have to find a way to justify to the wife my couple thousand dollar trip to NC. Believe me i don't want anyone else to touch the truck but don't know when i'm gonna get to NC either.
thanks for the help. looks like i'm gonna have to plan the trip.
Ooh yes....justifying things w/ the wife can be difficult. I guess having blown head gaskets justified getting it to the shop and all the extra stuff just fell in there totally out of my control....as far as she knows...
Look me up if it ever works out that your headed this way as Matt and I have been trying to hook up for a grub-fest at a really smokin' prime rib place about 1/2 way between my house and their shop. Glad to have you join us for some 6.0 talk over dinner.
my biggest problem is the truck runs great and only has just over 16,000 on it so there's no turning back after head studs and injectors as far as warranty goes. i might be able to hide what i have now but not after that work gets done. i'm not wishing for a blown gasket but might speed things up.
Totally agree, ride that warranty as long as you can, especially w/ those low miles.
These 6.0s cost a fortune and part of that is undoubtedly the warranty. Either way the invite still stands as LIPD and I are here for the long haul.
Just noticed your sig/profile. Sweet looking truck all blacked out. You guys must have some fairly liberal window-film laws up there. Speaking of laws, thanks for your service in local law enforcement, keeping us safe back home while our brothers/sisters TCB overseas. My bro is a 1st SGT w/ the NCSHP, having been on since '86 so I have the utmost respect for you guys.

thanks...makes the job a little easier when people understand that it's just a job. and that's how i get away with the tint..
i'll let you know if i make the trip..i'm not gonna wait out the warranty...and i won't be complaining if something breaks after the mods... hopefully make the trip no later than next spring.
I can pick it up when i come threw in July... or you can drop it off and we will bring you to the airport
you're making this entirely too easy...i may have to jump on that..
about when in july...i'm really wanting to do head studs and gaskets just to be on the safe side...and injectors are just a bonus while motor is out...
I'll give you a call in a couple of days. Looking into having the truck shipped back to me once your're finished. Easier to justify that then the plane trip and drive back. She just doesn't understand
