Well yesterday was the first day that i ever saw the new tundra out on the road, well not technically, it was in a parking lot. Does anyone see them around very much???? I can't believe i first saw one yesterday. Do you guys see them on the roads much, if so where are you located? I hear about how well they sell but i don't see them at all, granted i'm not looking for them...
Edit: I might have seem them before, but i don't think so, and if i have its the first time in a long time.
there are a few around here, more nissan titans then anything (as far as new imports go)
its mostly ford and the yukon/tahoe that dominate the market here.
they also of a pretty good following of the dodge hemi trucks, most all are just sb 2 whell drive ones, they put the loud exhaust on and cruise around.
Due to the large Japanese population here, this is Toyotaville. (That's not a racist comment) I see 'em all the time. The look is growing on me. I saw one with ladder racks and tools boxes and such. Obviously a contractor. It looked a bit out of place in that role.
Up here in Calgary, Alberta I have been seeing as many if not more of the new Tundra than the new Chev/GMC trucks. I see more of the new generation Tundra's than of the last.
Well, they're built right down the road in San Antonio and the most I ever see of them is sitting on the lots waiting to be sold. Just for fun I started watching a Toyota dealer in SA that I drive by every day. They've had one particular truck on the lot over 2 months now.
I see way more '08 Super Duties on the road than new style Tundras. But this area is the Super Duty capital (in sales) of the world.

I agree. I have seen plenty around, and boy are they a large truck. On the same subject, I have noticed construction companies using GM's more often lately, makes me think Ford is slipping in the fleet sales dept.

Didn't Ford say they wanted to cut back on low profit margin rental and fleet sales?

I've never read it.............but if someone from Ford said that, it is most certainly a pre-emptive statement for losing the #1 sales spot (if and when that may happen)
I see quite a few of the new Tundras around the Memphis tri state area. I'm also seeing the new Chevy being used by more & more companies. My company has 4 new Chevys they leased to replace the 04 F150s & 2 new Chevy 2500 vans to replace our old E250s. The company had lots of problems with the 04 F150s. I drive the only Ford van we still have in service. I like it better than the Chevy vans. I'll ask for another E250 when mine is replaced.
I like the looks of the new Tundra. I've seen one I really liked. It was a reg cab short bed. I may try one when I replace my old F150. I'm in no hurry to get a new truck & a different brand may catch my eye by the time I buy.
I've seen a few of them starting to creep in around here, but it seems the only ones I've seen are very clean and don't have anything in the back of them, and I'd guess the owners live in town. The closest Toyota dealer here is about an hour away, and the only new vehicle dealer in the county is a GM one. Still, there seems to be lots of Ford trucks on the road around here... definitely more than they are Toyota or Nissan trucks, at any rate.
